So what are Eco-friendly products why should they replace traditional plastic products??

Why appeared biodegradable plastic products?

Currently, due to the habit of favoring plastic products, especially single-use plastic products, along with supporting other industries such as mechanical engineering, textiles, agriculture,… it helps to promote the development of the plastics industry. However, this also poses threats to environmental pollution and climate change on our planet. The question big is “How will we do to retain the importance of plastic products and be responsible for the environment at the same time?”. Therefore, researchers have developed biodegradable products to replace conventional plastic products.

What is biodegradable plastic?

Biodegradation can be understood as the decomposition of substances, under the influence of microorganisms (in the natural or artificial environment) at suitable conditions (temperature, humidity, light)… decomposes to produce water, CO2 and biomass. Several plastics are made by fermenting raw materials such as: Polylactic acid (PLA), Polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA), Polybutylene succinate (PBS) )…

Fossil-based biodegradable plastics: Examples of these are polybutylene adipate terephthalate (PBAT) and polybutylene succinate (PBS)

What is the application of biodegradable plastic?

With the optimal characteristics in reducing the pollution burden, biodegradable and compostable products play an increasingly important role in many areas of life and production. However, due to the short decomposition time (about 6 months to 1 year under standard conditions), the application of biodegradable materials currently mainly focuses on the following fields:

• Packaging and coating fields: shopping bags, bags, garbage bags, agricultural mulch, etc.

• Packaging field: Stretch film, Sealing film, food wrapping plastic, ...

• Disposable product field (suitable for picnics, take-out food for cafes, restaurants,...): Single-use Bowls, plates, cups, disposable cutlery, ...

Grasping the trend of green consumption in Vietnam and around the world, Nature Lands is proud to provide Eco-friendly products in Vietnam and many countries around the world.
